The son of Notnowcato produced a stunning performance to come from last to first to beat Australia’s number one sprinter Redzel in the Gr.1 Lightning Stakes. The gelding has been much travelled since Alastair bought him after winning a 10F Ascot Handicap. On his 2nd start to race in Hong Kong he was beaten a nose in the Hong Kong Derby trial, and was an unlucky favourite for the Hong Kong Derby.
After feet trouble they moved him to race in Australia, here he has remarkably re-invented himself as a Gr.1 sprinter. Last year he won the Gr.1 Newmarket handicap, and he will try and defend that title, and then he may have a possible return trip to the UK for Royal Ascot, but this time over a sprint distance.
